Rukiya is a shady safari retreat on the banks of the Blyde River, bringing the tranquil presence of flowing water and whispering trees to the camp. All elements of the camp’s construction and location are orientated around keeping things natural, low impact, and serene.

There is a large infinity swimming pool with beautiful decks overlooking the river, sun loungers offer the perfect place to relax in the dappled shade. Tables and chairs on the rivers edge, provide an enchanted vantage of the river up close.

The heart of the camp comprises of the bar, lounge with reading corner, dinning area and extended deck with comfortable and stylish open-air seating. Experience a true African evening in our Boma, with a crackling fire and refreshing tipple from the bar.

Rukiya offers a refined, yet elegantly relaxed bush style hosted meals from bush breakfast picnics to light lunches and excellent 3-course dinners.

There is WiFi throughout the camp. Subtle and sophisticated African art adds to the simple, stylish décor of this relaxing camp. We have a close-knit team that is friendly, professional and passionate about their work.

Please Note: There is power throughout the camp along with backed-up power sources. Measures have been made to prevent interruption as much as possible, however due to nationwide electricity outages there could be the occasional power interruption for a short periods of time.
